Wales calling... and London moaning

This Friday I'll be going back to my old college in Wales (United World College of the Atlantic - it rocks) to prance about to four songs. My old drama teacher has managed to convince two students to dance along onstage. I don't know what it's going to be like - I hope it'll be a racket. I'm also giving a presentation about music and social media - which is ironic as I know the principles behind it but practicing it is much to be desired.

Mainly because there is virtually nought to talk about in The Rrrs camp.

Moving to London gave an awful amount of beating on the band, for these reasons:
- Les and I live in North West, Rowan lives in the South East. Travelling about in London can get quite tedious especially during weekends the Jubilee is always closed
- Rowan loves surfing and has an active social life at weekends
- I want a very different direction to our music, which ideally only involves Rowan and not Les
- Our jobs are quite demanding - weekday practices keep getting postponed. Virtually doesn't happen!
- I'm enjoying the immense amount of free time and money saved
- I don't really think I'd like to go solo
- I don't feel up for finding new people to play with.

No wonder Radiohead refused to move to London when they were starting out; but probably for different reasons. Smart guys.

But I do love London! I miss living in a city.

Les has resorted to finding other people to play with cos he misses playing bass - good for him.

At this point you're probably thinking, 'excuses, excuses'. I'd go further and say it's a fact - we don't make time for music. So are we going to make more music? Of course - When Rowan and I finally get round to jam!
